, we have just the office to bring about an ear-to-ear smile, an increased fascination with their area of interest, and a much more relaxed child interacting with our dental office staff, pediatric dentist, and/or oral hygienist.

It is the primary responsibility, of our pediatric dentists and professional dental team, to let children know that pediatric dentistry is not a frightening experience. Our training in child psychology and management helps put your infant, child or young adult at ease – and it shows!

Our Pediatric team provides the most up to date dental procedures in Pediatric Dentistry including digital x-rays with 90% reduction in radiation exposure, white tooth fillings, also known as composite fillings, for a healthier mouth and better looks. We also highly recommend dental sealants for premolars and molars, which protect these teeth from decay. When extra comfort is needed we use nitrous oxide for deep relaxation.

When to begin brushing

Even before teeth begin to erupt, thoroughly clean your infant's gums after each feeding with a water-soaked infant washcloth or gauze pad to stimulate the gum tissue and remove food. When the baby's teeth begin to erupt, brush them gently with a small, soft-bristled toothbrush using a pea-sized amount of fluoridated toothpaste.
Tooth Eruption Schedule

Thumb or Finger Sucking

Thumb sucking is perfectly normal for infants: most stop by age two. If your child doesn't, discourage it after age four. Prolonged thumb sucking can create crowded, crooked teeth or bite problems. Your pediatric dentist will be glad to suggest ways to address a prolonged thumb-sucking habit

When should your child first see a dentist?

"First visit by first birthday" sums it up. Your child should visit a pediatric dentist when the first tooth comes in, usually between six and twelve months of age. Early examination and preventive care will protect your child's smile now and in the future.
